Well folks

The end of the year is coming closer now. 2008 hasn't been a very busy year for us. We did some cool shows in Belgium and Netherlands. We had a quick stop in UK and went to Portugal so we're satisfied about all that.
Since we didn't play that many shows, we have been writing new songs with our new singer Marcus. Hopefully we can try some tunes out live somewhere in the beginning of 2009, we'll see. Let's not rush ... Good news is that we have 7 new songs finished! It's a bit different than what we have done in the past so be sure to check us out live, you might hear a new tune now and then!

We have a few shows left to close up this year. 2 shows in Netherlands (Eindhoven and Rotterdam), we will be supporting StuBru's Music for life in Gullegem (BE) together with X!nk, Dirk Stoops, ... and as very last show of the year we will be playing an acoustic mini-set for a live session of Radio Benelux in Tessenderlo on December 27. So if you are curious about how our songs sound like in an acoustic setting, be sure to come to that show!

It is official now people that former member of The JD Theory 'Marcus Deblaere' is our new singer and bandmember, we welcome him!! The idea was to help us out for a little while since our previous singer Jef quit the band in September but we have talked things over and Marcus is really enthusiastic about being a part of the maple room. So we are happy to make an official statement that Marcus is our new singer as of now!

We want to thank those who wrote us for auditions, it's good to know that people are still interested in us, makes us feel great! We hope that you will come check us out somewhere soon. We still have a few more shows this year so please come and say hi.

We are working hard on some new tunes, Marcus is already writing down some vocal lines and lyrics. We are very excited about it, hope you guys are too! We will be pre-recording in December and hope to play a new song within a few weeks, another good reason to come watch us live. Check our show section for more info on shows.

We posted some new bandpictures so leave us some comments plzzz.

We had a blast this weekend playing with our friends of Sparkle Of Hope and Campus. Good times as always. A big thanks to the people who showed up in Essen (Ger) and Vorselaar this weekend. It was nice seeying you all. This thursday we'll be playing in Hasselt @ Club MOD. We'll be supporting Chicago's finest Kill Hannah. So do us a favour and support these great bands that will play that night.

We're gonna start and record some demo's in a few weeks for some of the songs we have. We all look forward to it. Who knows, maybe we even let you peek into our new stuff. We'll think about it. See you on thursday fuckers!!!


Taste Of Chaos

We want to thank all the people who showed up so early last Wednesday. We had a blast playing the Taste Of Chaos show. We've never played in Tilburg before so it was an amazing view from the stage. It was Marcus first show on vocals. He did an amazing job. There are some clips on YouTube from that night. Check out how we did. It was good seeing our friends in San Andreas. Look out for their new cd in November.

We're playing 2 shows this weekend. We leave on friday for Essen(Ger) and we'll spent the night over there with our dear friends in Sparkle Of Hope. A party is on it's way. On saturday we'll play in Vorselaar. Together with Sparkle Of Hope and our other buddies in Campus. Should be fun!!! Come and check us out as it will be one of the last shows of Sparkle Of Hope.

On the 23rd we have a support show with Kill Hannah(US). It will take place in Hasselt at MOD(Club). We'll hope to see you there.

We're sorry it took so long but we have had some problems with our server. But those problems have been sold as off now. A lot has happened since our last post. Jef, our singer and friend for over the past 5 years is no longer in the band. Read about his statement on our myspace. We wish Jef all the best and hope he will enjoy is new life. This does not mean the end of our band. We're even more focused on writing new material and we're really looking forward to start putting down some lyrics to it.

Last weekend we had our first 2 shows without Jef. We want to thank Koen from Billy Got Spanked for helping us out. An amazing dude with a hell of a voice. Look out for him and his band. For the next show vocal duties will be taken on by Marcus Deblaere from the JD Theory. His first show will be Taste of Chaos in Tilburg (013). So come out and check us out. It's a new and improved TMR.

More news about a new singer will follow soon as we're taking care of a few things these days. Hope to see you soon!!!

Last weekend was awesome. Campus and The Maple Room invited themselves to play in someone's backyard for free. Only two things were required: power and people. It was fun!! We ended up playing Pennywise with two bands playing all their instruments. Do I need to say more... We want to thanks the winner of our competition for the hospitality. You made it a night to remember and we'll make sure to do this again next summer.

Thanx a lot to the people who came out last week for the Vanilla Sky show at Panama, Amsterdam. It was fun meeting all of you and we hope we'll be back in no time. Head over to the Macbeth website for a review about that show. We're still in the process of writing new songs and they come out quiet nice. We put a lot of effort in the new songs and can't wait to record them. No date is set yet for any recordings. We'll start pre-recording in a few weeks so we can work out the vocal tracks for a few songs.

Hey guys and girls, it's been a while since we've posted something on this sucker. We're sorry for that, there's no good excuse. First of all thanks to the people who showed up at Dijkfest yesterday. You made it a night to remember. We had a lot of fun playing your town and drinking your beer.

We've added some shows as you can see. We're all looking forward supporting Italian's finest ' Vanilla Sky' as they play in Amsterdam at Panama. Followed by a cool poolparty with our buddies in Campus. We're glad to tell you we've been working on some new tunes and they sound awesome. At least to us they do, you'll be the judge of that when they will hit the stores somewhere in the future.

Thank you for your patience and we promise to keep you guys up to date on all the maple room happenings. Peace.


Portugal/Macbeth

The long awaited update is finally here, and quite some things to tell. First of all we recently started doing shows again at the normal ratio which means playing the regular shows every weekend and some tours in between. Next week we are leaving for sunny Portugal for 4 shows, first time we’ll be taking the airplane to tour, i’m not too keen on flying so i’m a bit worried about that. Check out our show section for more info on the shows. We decided to turn down the last show in Lisboa because we are invited to play the Rio Rock Festival on Saturday April 12 with Ignite, Strung Out, Terror … looking forward to that!

At the end of April we’ll make the same old trip to UK for some shows, we’ll be stopping by in London, Bath and Wolverhampton and of course we hope to see some familiar faces there!

Secondly, we are very pleased to announce that we have a brand new endorsement deal with Macbeth Clothing and Footwear (founded by Tom Delonge of Blink 182). As for now we are the only Belgian band to join the Macbeth family. Within a few weeks we get shoes, shirts and zippers. A Macbeth photoshoot will follow …

During the summer we are planning a 3 week break from July 4 until July 20 because our singer Jef is getting married! During his honeymoon we will probably write some more new songs for an upcoming album somewhere in the beginning of 2009. After our break we have a really funny contest for fans to win, something like an exclusive concert but more news on that very soon! Next to that we're planning a summer tour but more news on how and when will follow later on.

Last but not least, we are currently working on a split cd with the bands ‘Hills have eyes’ from Portugal and ‘My Ocean’ from Belarus. 3 songs of each band, our songs are taken from our latest album ‘A glimpse of the inside’. The cd will be released in Russia on Trust Records and distributed in Russia, Belarus, Portugal and Belgium for sure, probably some smaller independent labels in some other countries too. The release date is set for May 2008, we’ll keep you posted on that one!

A Happy Newyear

Happy newyear to all of you! Again we've been offline for a few weeks, we had some troubles again with this baby.

The year starts off good for us, we got news that we are doing the support for Coheed and Cambria in VK, Brussels next week on Sunday January 20. We are looking forward to that and hope to see some of you there.
As for the rest we are currently writing new songs and doing rehearsal weekends, hope it all works out. We will be doing a short mini-tour in Uk in February, from Feb 6 until Feb 8. We are filling in the last blanks so we will keep you posted.
From March 12 until March 16 we are doing shows with More Than a Thousand from Portugal. If you are interested in booking us a show, please contact us. A tour in Portugal will follow in April 2008, we're stoked!

Anyways, from now on we will try to update the website frequently so please keep checking. Best wishes and take care lads!

Well, it's been 5 months to get this little thing online. Fact is that we have been very busy with shows and getting everyting together. As most of you know our bass player Roel Verheyen called it quits in July so that was our main concern for the past few months. We would like to thank Jelle Van Rethy of Thyrsus for helping us out on bass.
We have thought it over very carefully and we agreed on not taking a 6th member in the band. As of now our screamer Dries will be taking care of bass too, combined with screams. We will be going on as a 5 piece from now on so come and check out our new line-up!

As you can see we kept this website plain and simple, nowadays everything has kinda moved to the whole myspace thing so this here is just basic stuff. For songs and more pictures you can browse to our myspace. Leave your comments there because we decided not to have a guestbook and such because we have had some serious shit with it in the past. Oh by the way, we posted a new song from the latest album 'A Glimpse Of The Inside' on our myspace, called Love Suicide, so go and take a listen!

Check out our new merchandise section too, we have BRAND NEW HOODIES. If you want one, order it now because they might be sold out before you know! We will be selling them on our live shows too, you have to be quick though, we have only 2 Belgian shows scheduled for the rest of 2007. We will be hitting the road with Across Five Aprils(US) very soon and travel through Germany, France, Netherlands and Scandinavia.
